It will run under Classic mode but it's a little flimsy.
FontLab is the future. You're better off getting started with it.

If people are looking for a cheap and reliable way of making forts may I suggest buying this months copy of Computer Arts , the typography special. Its got full working versions of Scan Type and Type Tool and also has a quicktime video tutorial for using them. Sweet!
