has anybody experienced color shifting when printing from a mac computer versus printing from a pc?
I created a test file on my new dualie G5 and printed a blue block. It came out light.
I opened that same file on a pc and printed it, and it came out noticeably darker.
the printer is an HP deskjet 990. does this shifting have to do with monitor calibration or does it just involve the printer?

well it will be the drivers I would imagine, I guess you are just using standard drivers, you tried printing an image from the same file/software?
you're never going to get perfect with inkjets, especially without a postscript RIP.
