I just Bought this movie a few days ago, (its coming to the theaters in the US soon) This is a movie that was made couple of years ago.TRUE masterpiece, of japanese samurai cinema, lots of blood flying around, (I guess now I know where did they got that from on a recent hollywood movie) I dont want to ruin this for the people that haven't seen it yet, but I guess this will be an oportunity to see that whatever is happening in hollywood now, it has already been seen over there, years ago..

I got this a few months back and was let down myself. The blood is ridiculously computer generated and I thought the fights were few and far between. Some of the humor was good, but I have a lot of doubt in it being any kind of success outside of hongkong/japan.

not that i know anything, but his other movies, with the exception of Brother, were dope. Fireworks and Kukijiro especially.

I am curious to see this movie. I used to rent the original Zatoichi movies from the Brea (CA)Tower records back when i was in college. They were really schweet.

It's touted to kill Kill Bill... in both volumes.

An actor played Zatoichi in the original movie accidentally killed one of the stuntmen when they used a real blade for a scene.
He also one time got caught trying to take a plane with heroin hidden inside his underpants.

cg blood=bad. anyway i guess this movie is worth watching once.. the farmers were dope.
zatoichi meets yojimbo is highly recommended though.
