I was thinking on getting this update fro my Blue and white G3:
OWC Mercury G4/450-533MHZ ZIF Processor Upgrade
Has anybody hear good or bad things about this kind of updates?

we have 2 8600 umax clones running on G3 updates for almost 5 yrs now. (newertec) so it is serious.
be sure you can run osx then and think about save the money for a new machine

i forgot the brand (have to look for it) but there's an processor upgrade that goes up to 1 and 1.2 Ghz which is quite cheap. checked with people who have it and they were more than satisfied.
