Time has come to upgrade to a laptop. PC is the logical choice over Mac because of clients. What kind of laptop setup are you graphic and new media designers out there happily using?

Currently carrying around a Dell Inspiron 8200. Simple choice for me as it's pretty light, it has a wireless net card and I can run presentations in 1600x1200 on a 15,1 incher!

Just bought a Dell Latitude through their outlet store - 2.66ghz for £500. It's only got 256mb and a 32mb gfx card though. Really happy with it so far - compliments the desktop nicely. If you go up to £750, you'll get something excellent.

dell fall apart? or laptops... I don't plan on travelling with it much. Just to the coffee shop for some front-window working. And to clients' for presentations.

If you want a Desktop Replacement go for the 17 Inch Sager.
It is as fast as the top of the line desktops out there... you can get it for a great price here. http://www.powernotebooks.com/sp… This Baby smokes ass and is rated top of the game even by Cnet. And these guys have great customer support. Upgrade the Harddrive to 7200 RPM and get 1 gig of ram.
