how do i save a picture of an irregular shaped painting and make it so i CANNOT see the backgournd at all i just want to see the wallpaper of the site behind it.. i tried to save as png8 and png24 but the clour comes out messed up with NO transparency HELP

PNG24 with transparency is the answer... What browsers are you testing on?
