I have a "main" movie (level 1) that loads new movies into level 3.
Each page of the site is just a Flash file that loads in level 3.
When all "pages" (flash files) are cached, I have display problems because some pages are longer than others--that is, they extend farther down the screen. So when I have a particularly long page and I load a shorter page on top of it, that portion of the longer page that does not fit within the dimensions of the shorter page, remains behind.
My inclination is to do away with the caching of page files by auto-refreshing each time a page is loaded?
Any suggestions?

Can you provide us with a sequence of buttons to push to replicate your problem?

Weeell, the thing is, it's kind of tough.
I believe you have to basically load the main site and subsequently load each page under the five tabs of the horizontal menu...so each flash file caches.
Then, you close your browser window and begin again...go to something like About Us > FAQ and then to a page like Programs > Camps and then to Programs > Faculty Biographies and start clicking the different program types. If it doesn't start acting up, go to About Us > FAQ again...then maybe over to Programs > Faculty Biographies again.
You have to scroll all the way up to wipe the bottom portion 'clean'...by this bottom portion, I mean the leftovers of the previous, longer page that was replaced with a shorter one.
Tough to explain...am I at least making some sense?

Yes.
Here's my initial idea.
On your loadmovie, do this:
Where it initially stated:
loadMovieNum("about.swf", 2);try:
loadMovieNum("about.swf?" add random(1000), 2)It will ignore the text after the questionmark, but think that it's a new page.
I'm braindead right now (still @ work), so I may be of better help tomorrow, but I think the above solution could solve your problem.

Oh man, thanks! I did that and I'm hoping it fixes it. So far, so good...
Do I also need to modify the links in the left column of each individual page?

I'd say yes if you were having the same problem there.
