currently, i work on a website and exported some images today.
my color space is the adobe RGB. when i export it to image ready, the colors don't correspond at all. so i changed to sRGB - same thing. had to change them manually in IR... then i sent it to my partner - colors at his machine - horror. the parser flattens all colors - no juice innit at all...
is there a profile we can use in photoshop/imageready/dreamweaver... so it all corresponds a little?

odd. you're sure that the document you work in is rgb and not e.g. cmyk?

i thought that first : ) and it was NOT cmyk (if, i'd kick myself)

once in a while i do get minor colour changes. but that's minor though. did you check with adobe support about this? and did you check the colour management policies in the colour settings? what does it say?

in those same settings you can also choose your monitor rgb settings as a work space. did you try that?

the settings are ok. what i am looking for is an ICC profile, specially for webdesign
that guarantees that to all colours are converted
correctly on the participating computers.it's clear that it never will look alike, but mathematically
should it be possible - and in any case between image ready and
photoshop.well, an ICC with websafe colors. or better, how do you handle it? maybe i am looking too far
- rabattski0
but isn't it a combination of your monitor's coloursync as well?
- pascii0
yes. that's the problem...
how do you handle color issues?

well first i make sure if my screen is proper calibrated. than i check the colour settings of the app. and then double check a test image with another app or on another machine. then again ps (especially 7) does have it's odd output sometimes. logically there shouldn't be a colour difference between ps and ir unless you are working in a different colour mode than rgb. if there is a difference than it prolly is due to the output settings of ps. not sure though. maybe someone else here knows more. or check adobe support. what setup do you have (cpu / screen)?

well, i check this ir settings out.
i run a mac g4 mdd 867 with os panther, adobe ps cs and work on a pro nitron 19/200 monitor.
do you know a good calibration system that runs under X?
