I'm looking for a font where the numerals are subscripted and reside lower than the alpha characters. Not sure if there's a name for this....
Any help?

Indeed I do. Many thanks. Anyone have any links to specific sites that have these categorized? Or are they just under Serif somewhere?
Preferably free, I'm still in college...

there is like 10000 fonts that have this kind of numbers. oh, and some 60000 of the free "fonts". and not all are serif (take Meta for example).

'Georgia' is still one of my favourites! The numerals are very nice!

That's "old style figures". Just do a search on http://www.myfonts.com

Well, maybe not, I got no decent results. Here's Adobe's selection.

Are you on a Mac? Hoefler Text comes with OS X. It has oldstyle figures.

Meta is a great modern face where the numbers are offset slightly. It's a beautiful face. Don't know if it's exactly what you're looking for...
