What would you charge for this site?
http://www.metroskate.com/MartyR…
I gave a friend a web design project because i didn't have time for it. Without discussing pricing he dove in head first and created this. I think he's asking too much on the price and just want to get some opinions.
It's a revamp of this site
http://www.martyruiz.complease be nice, he hasn't been in the game long.

a couple hundred is what i was thinking. 300 max. my friend is asking for 500, there's no way i can tell the client that.

$475.26
Third on the hit area of the buttons...MAJOR FLASH NO-NO...drives the value of the site down $125 right off the bat.

thanks for not ripping him apart. so $300 sounds fair? I'm having him change a few things, including the buttons.

You didn't discuss money first? Ask him what his rate is - then if he says $50/hr and is asking for $500 - tell him you don't belive it represents 10 hours of work for a designer that charges $50/hr.

$200
Why did he build it in flash? No need. On my moms 56 k connection, when you first enter the site, it's just black for ages... needs a preloader. Also the images take ages to load (they need some kind of preloader too).
