how much does it cost to creat A company's identity?
and what are the things included in the identity?
Thanks folks!

average at about $168.
no SERIOUSLY THOUGH.. there's not cut&dry answer james, factors like size of company, business plan, growth, goals, markets will and who you're dealing with will determine cost. and things that go into it are concepts, color studies, logo explorations, type choices, demographic research, yadda yadda yadda.
first step in this whole thing is research. first start with the company that needs this work done, then focus on who they're doing business for.
hope this helps, but this is a HUGE process..

I just need to design their logo, businesscard. that's it. It's a small company.
oh, website too. Ahh...I need to know how much I need to charge creating website too.
can anyone give me an idea for average fee? The contents will be fairly simple.

Jesus - we can't answer that for you. Decide your hourly rate and go from there. A "fairly simple" website doesn't mean a thing.

Don't do it for less than 1 million antarctican dollars.

don't even answer it if you don't want to. Why even bother taking your time to type it?
I just wanted to know what I don't know. If I'm asking too reluctant question, then just say it that it wasn't a appropriate.
I appreciate those who gave me some advice. I'm not an experienced designer, that's why I'm asking this dumn questions.

Rule #1
This is a comedy board, so react accordingly
- rasp0
if youre not an experienced designer, make sure this is reflected in the costs because the company will go to someone who is otherwise.
- rasp0
and so they should

I applogize for my harsh reaction.

an experienced designer might charge anywhere between 2000 and 100,000 dollars for a company mark, depending on what they;ve gotten in the past and what a company is willing to pay. similar disparities might exist for the cost of a website

for a website, i usually meet with them first.
go over the prices of hosting and domain name. (and if hosting costs x amount, charge them a little more each month for your services of setting it up.)
and then go over what they all want on the site. and then estimate how long it will take, and if you're charging by the hour, you can estimate the cost.that's a pretty basic overview, but i hope that helps some.

does a company have to have a different kind of hosting ?
is it different from just indivisual website hosting?
- rabattski0
hosting is hosting. packages differ, services differ, you can even buy your own rack and have it installed at an isp. some packages offer more, some don't. do you need a database? do you need e.g. php? do you need millions of e-mail boxes? do you need a lot of traffic? etc. etc. etc. see it as a car. there are many cars out there, but some are suitable and some not.
