Is cheap memory really worse than buying it from Apple?
I'm talking specifically about DDRSRAM133 for a G4 tower.
Any help appreiated. I don't want to buy cheaper RAM and end up having problems, and I also don't want to waste $ if its the same.

Don't buy memory from Apple, but certainly don't buy 'cheap' memory as far as quality is concerned. Macs are made to a higher standard of quality than winblows machines. They need a high quality RAM too. go to http://www.crucial.com

I can't find "DDR 333 SDRAM" on crucial. maybe I am not looking it up right?
anything else anyone?

crucial sells Micron RAM which Apple uses but around at 1/2 the markup

I like http://www.otherworldcomputing.c…
Cheaper than crucial but still good quality.
If you buy ram just make sure the store says its for a mac. I had no problems with the gig of ram I just got for my powerbook.

On the Crucial webpage, just go through the steps of manufacturer, model, etc... It will find your RAM for any G4 tower, including the very first generation of them.

Get brand name RAM. Period.
You need 133Mhz SDRAM
it is NOT DDR
