Ok, I finished my poster on Illustrator, I need to send it to the client as a Tiff, so like I usually do, I just exported it to TIFF format, but this time, the poster is bigger and I get this message:
"The combination of artwork size and resolution exceeds the maximum that can be rasterized"
Im runnin illustrator Cs on panther, anybody knows what can I do?
thanks

save it as an eps and make it a tiff in photoshop.

i've run into that problem before. apparently, illustrator doesn't like large document exports (whether due to dimensions or resolution). i just opened my illustrator file in photoshop. worked fine for me.

I like Greedo's idea

You can also try copying the ilustrator composite to the clipboard and open a new file on Photoshop and paste it. The eps option is the best though.

that error message also comes up when you try to export a large file as a JPG.
If you do have a lot of shadows, or other effects in illustrator, try to rasterize them first in illustrator b4 the export. that has helped me in the past.
