So, I'm printing this thing done in Quark, and I have some EPS image (Illustr. logo) placed in there. Well, when I print from Quark, it all looks shitty and blurry. WTF? My client will be printing this off their own laser printer from Quark, but it looks like crap! Why!?
ps. what's that keyboard shortcut to refresh a placed image again?
Thanks!!

sounds like you have a broken link to the artwork. just double click the placed image or update the link under utilities>usage>pictures.

you need a postscript driver to handle your placed eps's.

Oh shit, are you serious! then that means I'll have to make everything in Illustrator, and make my client templates for MS Word. God damnit!

In indesign you can embed your graphic within the document. Check if the same option is available in quark.

Can't you save the EPS's as bitmaps instead?

It sounds like its printing the preview images rather than the source files - check links.

check the image links....

Ok, I exported from Illustrator into a bitmap, turns out fine now! whoot!
Just out of curiousity, where do you choose to print the preview rather then the source file?
And, what's that shortcut for Update Image thingy?

Nah, sounds like the ol' Quark being useless at printing EPS files thing. You need a Postscript RIP to do it as was linked above. Otherwise saving the EPS files as TIFs or Photoshop EPS files does the trick.
