Hello friends,
Here is a site that I am working on for a wedding photographer. The site is 99% finished with the exception of the "about" section.
Link is:
Any feedback, comments, things that suck about it, ect would be great.
Thank you Melvin for your help on this one !

Nice, site, tight structure, but i hate to say this, but the thumbnails are way too small unlewss there will be more images in the future...I don't even get a sense of what they may be about.

Why don't you combine the opening flash animation with the site homepage instead of two seperate pages. Seems a bit too complicated.
Dunno about that pixel font, seems outta place.
Otherwise, a good site full of pictures of happy people.

yeah - the thumbs are way too small...and I don't know why but that menu just doesn't look right to me....you have a nice open structure and then there's this blocky menu that sticks out like a sore thumb - maybe try opening that menu up a bit...

Another thing about the menu... it doesn't seem right that the photographer's personal work comes *before* the recent weddings stuff. I would think the most important menu item is the wedding photography, so it should be the second or third menu item instead of the fourth. Frankly, if I'm looking for a wedding photographer, I'd want to see how good her wedding photographs are, not her personal stuff.

I don't think the thumbs are too small. Only thing I would change is perhaps the speed at which the images come up, that slow sliding animation makes it a tedious process...if you keep it that slow I would create larger thinbs, so people can be more selective, but if you make the process faster and people can browse more eaily the thumbs only become a navaigation instrument and the small size is no problem. I don't care for pixel fonts, but they don't look out of place, it all sort of works. I would consider though as the person above mentioned to integrate the intro into the homepage.

I agree with jevad, the menu is blocky... maybe try softening it up a bit.
other than that, I think the design beautifully done. viewing the site makes me feel serene :)

Well designed site, good content. The only problem I saw was the text on the contact page is really blurry. There probably isn't any reason to have two pages for the intro and site. The menu didn't bother me. I'd be curious to know what others think about it.

Nothing wrong with the menu. It fits stylistically.

I like the thumb size.
I like the menu.
I don't like the texture of the field names in "contact." Sharpen them up?

very smooth, except for the fact that your pixel fonts are not crispy in your E-mail form, you need to tweak that a little, but the overall color and layout work. nice typography with the cursiveness ;)

your site is fresh and clean. i like it. i don't think the thumbnails need to be bigger. allow room for further expansion by keepign them as they are.
i don't get the v.2 graphic on the home page though. it seems like a cursory nod to a style that isn't embodied anywhere else in the site.

I like the site overall - the only thing that really bothered me was the floating of the thumb to the doc area - it would be better if you speed up the animation it seems to lag as it moves across the screen. Make it a quick unified motion.
- erok0
I just might do that.. I agree.. But, it's faster on a PC..
Hmmmmm!

I sent you an e-mail, would love to know one thing about how you did that site. :)

The thumbs are a bit small.
When the thumb gets to the centre of the image box try zooming it up to full size then fading into the full-res image, it would be smoother.
I'd prefer it if there was no (or reduced) load time to get to the thumbs, then the full images were loading in the background. The initial wait is annoying.
Nice looking site though, clean, simple and uncluttered.
