Font problem

I have been trying to sort this out for quite some time but nothing worked so far. Any hint or tip will be appeciated.
I am having problems with printing from Quark 6 on my G4 running on Panther 10.3.3.
Although my fonts look OK on screen , when I print things out there are glitches in the text (Kerning goes crazy, letters are either overlaping or are too far away from each other). The fonts (Bembo, Trade Gothic) can't be the problem. They print fine through Freehand. Saying that, when I tried to use Quark 5 on OS 9 they looked pixelated on screen and paper. But in 9, the actual font files (except the suitcase files) appeared with a blank page icon, OS 9 didn't seem to recognize them.
Any ideas?
Thank yous in advance

hey i think that you need to have both the postcript and the printing version of your font and I don;t know which printer you have but you need to install a software for quark to rpint from panther...i believe, not sure but it's worth checking about the postcript and printer font folders.
good luck

Thanks lenusyia
I don't think I'm missing font files and it wouldn't print properly on freehand either if that was the case.
Any more details about this software for printing from panther? It's not the 6.1 update, is it?
Thanks

What kind of printer do you have, and have you used it with Quark before?
