ok do not know if anyone here will know but... i am getting this error every now and then on my computer.
"Files that are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognize d versions. To maintain system stability Windows my restore the original versions of these files"
problem is, my computer is a dell. when i put in the windows cd that came with it, it says this is not right right cd
anyone know what the crap?

You running an updated antivirus? Either way, might be good to format and do a fresh install of doze minus all the dell crap, since they gave you the CD and all.... thats really all you need.....

I assume you are talking to us from that machine so windows would obviously be running. based on that assumption
i would run adaware and see what it finds before doing anything crazy like reformatting. there are some poorly coded spyware that will give crazy windows errorstry it ans see what it finds

Im with atomica on this one, the best way to keep everything going good on pc is to do a format every so often(say every 6 months) it cleans shit out and evan u r a computer nazi and keep ur computer going smooth a format is the best thing since sliced cheese, but try and see if its spywere or anything first......

well what sometimes happens is that they install windows from a network and not from the cd's you have which could lead to problems if they are not exactly the same. which is quite annoying.
