Any issues with flash in firefox? I have a movie behaving badly, but only in that browser...

More specifically, when I hit a skip intro button, I get a blank page in firefox, whereas in other browsers it works. However, if I reaload the page, the button works. Clearing the cache makes the problem return...any ideas?

yeah. i've had many issues with it. most of the issues i've had, though, are related to preloading external files and issues with dealing with data.

yeah-- that's exactly what the problem is, preloading a movie called by LoadMovie... any solutions?

I just think it's annoying how on all Flash sites is says transferring data from www.domain.com in the status bar.

yeah, i have what you're looking for. check it out--- the problem with fiefox (and safari too, i think), is that they take, like, an extra iteration of a function to actually interperet your incoming data. so, if you are preloading like this...
var percent = (loaded / total) * 100;
...then you have to take this extra step in mozilla:
var percent = isNaN((loaded/total * 100) ?
0 : (loaded/total * 100);That way, when the first data returned and processed in a mozilla browser results in NaN (not a number), it won't crap out your entire preload script. it just treats the NaN as 0 (zero).
that should fix yr problem.

well, I'll be.. thanks for the valuable info, works like a charm...

Another almost identical way is checking loadedkb verses totalkb AND as long as both are above 0. Sometimes flash returns loadedbytes in the negatives, which unfortunately is still a value.
