What's the difference between a DVD-RW and a DVD+RW?
(notice the - and the +)
Don't say it doesn't exist, because it does. About the same price, too.

soooo...
when dvdr anything came out, there was like a billion differet tryes cause not all dvd players would play everything. Eventually it kind of narrowed down to (i think, not positive though) DVD+RW that works most everywhere.

I think they're just diff formats.
Most modern DVD recorders record both formats. It just makes things harder when your picking up DVDs at bestbuy. :P

Alright. Um, wow. I still don't get it. Different formats? So which one would fit in my brand spanking DVD recorder then?

brand spanking...not new, just spanks them brands...
like i said, it is a different format. sounds weird, cause its a dvd and you would think everything would be the same, but i think it came out of all the companies wanting thier format to become the standard.
I believe that dvd+rw is the best one to go with.
