So I just found out that a project that I helped direct just got accepted into the Creative Review Annual 2004. http://www.protokid.com Of course I happy to know that it is being honored but my concern is this:
Though I was hired by Diesel to be the content manager and creative director of the project it is the company that I hired http://blocmedia.com that continues to take credit in the press. I designed the game play and functionality of the site and though they did an excellent job finalizing assets for the site ( I designed graphics as well ) it seems to me that I should be included in the credits. What do you think?

Has anyone here been mysteriously un-credited in the media for a site that you created?

Not really...just the usual, boss takes the credit for the work, etc.
However, I was interested to reaed about your involvement with Blocmedia, Do you reckn they have overstepped the mark in submiting the site for awards? They seem to have assumed 'ownership' of it.

I guess their stance is that I was sort of employed by Diesel but in fact I was only contracted for the protokid site. Its just a little annoying to see my designs incorporated into a site that they take almost full credit for.

I can see where you are coming from.
I can only suggest the usual, contact bloc and ask the remedy it somehow.
But although I am the sort of chap to get really worked up over these things, In the end it matters less than you think it dod.
Sorry, that sounded preachy, but I think you get my gist

I hear you. I have been patient with this issue for a while but it only seems right that they would give credit where credit is due. Especially when I was the one who brought them on board.

Who paid them? Did you or Diesel?

contact them and ask them to revise the credits. i've had to do that in the past and it's never been a problem. other people will try to get away with taking credit for your work until the second you notice... then they'll pretend it was just a mistake and fix the problem.
