I am having a confusing morning. I recently designed a logo (4 color) and when it was completed and approved the client needed it color separated.. I separated it as I always do.. by PMS colors and placed all 4 colors in different files. Now They said that they wanted each file in black and white, even though it was color. So I did this.. and now they tell me that they needed to go elsewhere because it wasnt correct.. I looked at the files over and over and it is right. I do this evreyday.. can someone tell me if there is something I am missing???? thanks in advance.

were they asking for seps?
you know, each color plate printed out in b&w?

why even bother to seperate into different files? you can just select 'seperations' in freehand, quark, illustrator or whatever, tell them to go somewhere competent next time.

Yes they asked for each color to be made into Black and white. I have done this for them already for other jobs.. This was supposed to be simple.. But I am just confused.. I also printed it out in separation in quark.. but they are the ones who asked for each color to be put in its own illustrator file... I just want to make sure that I am not loosing my mind..

ask why they want this. It might shed some light
