fuck, that's a good album. Hand's down one of the best rappers around. Beats are fresh too. Plus the flash movie is tits.

the no chorus thing kinda makes you concentrate harder on what he's saying. kinda old company flow styles where el-p raps for like 2.5 mins and you're like."when the fuck is he gonna stop rappin and give me a break."

Fer cryin out loud...gimme a damned break; that's just plain ignorant. The concept of a repetitive musical "theme" is as old as rythym itself. Even quote-unquote freeform, atonal jazz has elements of compositional repetition.
You can be in it for the "sound" if you want, but don't give me grief because I'm in it for a "song."

i would never give anyone 'grief' over what kind of pop tunes or show tunes they like. in essence, rap does not require a chorus, but sometimes, repetition can be an effective literay device, as in the Last Poets, etc.. all depends on whose writing the checks

I think you'll find that there's a bare minimum of check-writing being done for *any* kind of music that lacks a chorus.
