how does anyone ever get the nerve to ask someone (some really hot someone) out?!
there must be tricks to help syke yourself up. help me out!

booze -- it increases confidence

it helps to remember that the most beautiful people in the world have the same needs as anyone else, and many times are less approached because everyone thinks they are "out of their league" or somehow better....
truth is, everyone needs to be loved...life is too short to think that someone is unapproachable...love works in mysterious ways afterall

not many people can pull it off, it depends on the girl too.

yea, being a girl, i haven't had much practice.

Don't take the drinking too liberally, though. You don't want to be pissed when you ask someone out.

hmmm... so the only real way to relax enough is to drink? are you sure there aren't any jedi mind tricks i can play on myself?
i see him in the a.m. before work and can't really afford to be drinking at that hour.
i think, i'll just "do it" as brooke says, as i am on my way, and then i chicken out every time.

meeting someone in the morning and hitting it off, is way better anyways....
you're both totally yourselves with no BS clouding yourselves...
trust me, just say anything to him...guys are so happy to not have to instigate everything, it won't what you say....just say SOMETHING, and you're in there

While alcohol is a wonderful social lubricant, I think you're right. Being hammered in the morning might send the wrong message.
I'm with Brooke. Go for it.
"You'll never know until you go".I'm painfully shy, but if I really feel something for/from someone I at least say hi. Even if they don't seem to be interested, at least I know I tried. Its tough, but you gotta try. Good luck.

A friend of mine once told me it sounded like a schoolgirl to go around saying "but what if she/he says no". So in the end I did it out of, ahm, basically just being pissed about that reference.

so, what i gather here is a *girl* is going to ask our a *guy*?
oh, you're so in there...
Ya see, guys typically only get "hints" from girls, trying to point them in the right direction of who to ask out.. but, if a chick comes right out and asks it, I'm sure he'll say yes....
I mean, he's a guy.. and that shit's flattering.
guy's dont get point-blank asked out very much. *

so if i just say - you want to do something sometime? - that wouldn't be too inappropriate? instead of mentioning a specific event or time?
he acts like he's into me, i've just accidentally given him the wrong signal. i think he thinks i like his friend. i don't, he was just easier to talk to!!!
