I am just about to finish this one up and wanted to see what everyone thinks. The design style is new to me so...I could use some feedback...

The tiled background i think is a bit lame. The main flash bit is really clean and well laid out. And woah the photography... just what i need this time on a sunday night ;)

looks pretty tight...i agree the tiled background should go...also...put some content in the right 2 boxes on initial load rather than leaving them blank...the flash bits loaded a little wierd, preloader didnt show up until like 72 per cent, safari, osx...nice work

The idea behind the tiled background was to represent a press wall.
The idea I had for the site was kind of a proof magazine layout. All areas where the viewers point of focus should be are in color where the rest is "grayed out" so to speak.

Thanks blackspade. The page flip script is not hard to implement if you are familiar with AS and how linkages work.

what is the name of this site? it says spring issue, but of what?
when you click anything on the lower nav the dimentions of the page shift.
the flipping page navigation is way overused.
i thing the background looks cheezy, but thats just my taste

nice! although i have seen to many sites with that flash pageflipper i stayed and actually checked it out. nicely done. but is it me but sometimes i can't doubleclick the corner to proceed (instead of flipping) and sometimes i can?
