Panther DVD/CD

  I have got Panther but it's on a DVD and I want to install it in two G4s but one of them doesn't have a DVD drive. Is there a way to install it into the nonDVD G4? Some sort of networking between the two?

  Get to where there is a dvd drive, create a disc image onto a firwire drive, take it back to your compy comperson, mount the image, select system pref - start up image.

  Or some thing, but just drop into a folder rather than a image.

  How do I create a disc image/folder? When you say firewire drive do you mean an external one?

  Sorry, I need some details. I'm not very good with this kind of stuff.

  I found out how to do this but it won't work. The DVD only has aliases of everything showing and when I mounted it I could only see the aliases therefore I couldn't copy the actual installer and when I tried to start the installer is restarting so when it gets back the mounted image thing is lost.

  Any ideas?
