is the navigation clear?
does it look ok at very high or very low res?
overly pretentious?
too minimal?
whatever's wrong with it, let me know, Thanks

sorry, should be fixed now.

yep. working on it when i was checking? anyways, i'm not a fan of giving critique but here goes. i like the basic concept. but it needs tuning on the look and feel. to make it more window-esque. for instance, a topbar you normally see. and not such a tight lay out. still that's if you want to have that look. overall, i got too many scrollbars and some content is halfway positioned out of my viewing area.

It's pretty confusing, aside from the title tags title, i have no clue what i'm looking at, three navigation buttons, which are ms looking by nature and a dot. There's nothing telling me what I'm looking at, and is there only one picture in the journal? Otherwise, I feel thats difficult to navigate to... the site feels very unusable (imho.) I might be having an idiot complex but it just seems so vague and indescript.

I think a different font would be a big help to the site. I agree with most of what has been said, but I wanted to make on point. The three icons mimmicing the "minimize", "maximize", and "close" buttons are not making sense. Is it just me, or do the minimize and close buttons do the same thing throughout the site. Additionally, if you're stuck with these icons, why offer up confusion right off the bat? When the page loads, I think the menu should load too. As it is now, I spent a few seconds wondering if my computer had froze... then I realized the page was finished loading. Minimalism is a beautiful thing, when it makes sense. All in all though, I like the work, and I like that you have a mixtape, I've always had it in my mind to do something like that, but never got around to it. You got some nice photography.

Thanks
I changed the windowsish icons to a more clear solid bar with a down arrow for the drop down nav, wich is also displayed by default now.The journal had a link down at the bottom that said 'show archives', wich in retrospect was practically hidden, so I threw in a nice big button right at the top of the journal to show the journal navigation, it brings up a little calender to the left showing when I've posted, and linking to those posts.
Rabattski, I'm normally somewhat opposed to to critiqueing myself, but without an outside perspective I end with designs that nobody can understand without a manual.
It's mostly a personal site, so I figure I spend most of my day listening to music, I might aswell reflect that.
Thanks again
