leave em be. shit happens. its over with. they still make solid work, wooster still puts their shit up on the streets of manhattan and life moves on.

NT is a funny place. If this was some corporate website that had stolen graphics, your nuts would fall off from all the screaming and posting "RIP" threads.
That being said ... i could care less about wooster's street art or bns ... this is simply an observation of the NT mindset.Pepe - your site is running slooooow for me. 65-82 KBs on a T3. Just FYI.

hmm my site is loading slow... odd. ill look into it.... we are switching servers but that wasnt suppose to happen for a bit...

Sorry to drag this thread out ..
i was just wondering...
if a company employes a freelance designer and that freelancer does copy/rip a piece of work, does the company become liable for the rip or the freelancer??
- kpl0
Nirvous, it's funny to you because you choose to see nt as one organized collective voice, rather than what it really is. Individuals have individual opinions. what a concept.

ible, I would assume the firm that hired the freelancer is still responsible. should be all in the fine print...
- RIP5730
normally the large company has a contract with the freelancer stating that all works freelance person makes is their own. Soooo the freelancer is the one can be sued
- shellie0
ible:
the firm would get sued first.. then the firm would sue you.
- RIP5730
not to start a battle...but the place Im working at now has a great contract that would keep them from being sued in that situation. sidenote its one of the biggest so Im sure some of the other large ones do the same.

I agree, that is the lamest comment I have ever heard. Besides, if it really were a problem the creative director should, and would be in charge of taking it out. It has to go through a lot of channels to go on air. It is not like the freelancer was hiding in some little room with out gettin any of the work approved. It is total shite.

man I'm sorry i have seen this thread and purposfully avoided it because i knew what bullshit the wooster would toss.
First Off, Wooster used those eyes off of something else.
Secondly,Wooster recieves a very healthy grant from the city atrts council and various other funds both government and independently
Third off they should recognize that thier work is now being reinterpreted into a commercial design, because though they are "artists collective" they "design themmselves as elite"
Sorry it's just pure b.s.
