good shit homie, lotsa great work in there...

love it...
... except for the background image that holds the shadow for the page - makes reading difficult and may be a little obstructive to the images...
... also - maybe show some sort of indicator that the pages are advanced via the 'dogear' on the bottom left and right of the book.

ditto what abizzyman says.
nice stuff :)

Thnx for the responses, I'll consider these issues when compiling for issue 02. Anyone else, thoughts, ideas, problems, etc?

the type leaves me wanting, but the content certainly doesn't.
great work.

Contents page is too important not to have ultra-readable type. (3D) Shading on pages is unnecessary and in some cases degrades photography. Otherwise, really nice. I like this form of presentation.

Forgot something:
One problem I have with this format (and Delve's) is that it's not easy to go back to the credits page for a reminder of whose work you're looking at. The simplicity is great, but I think the contributors deserve more direct credit - either a link to the opening page or their name somewhere at the bottom of the display.

BTW, it's nice to see a bunch of great women artists involved. Far two few in most of these collaborations.

Thanx Typographica, really appreciate the comments. Yes, there were quite a few women contributors, I was very excited when recieving all the submissions. A very well-rounded crowd.

i think it's really cool that you can navigate via contributor as well as from page-by-page. most online mags only allow a straight line from point a to point b, but i like being able to jump around. :)
