Hello groovers.
It has been very hard.A year ago you are in a South American desert, a few months later I was on a Fiji paradise island, then I was living in a house in Manly beach Sydney, a few months on I was diving near Hanoi in Vietnam, then partying with fat boy in Thailand, then I was in a dole que in England.
It has been hard.
After a lot of applying (unsucesfully mostly) I have somehow sorted my life right out. I work as a freelance designer from an office of a web design company in Hove (Brighton, South of England) they are called http://www.solv.it and they give me some freelance work, as well as me finding my own. I am off and running as my own boss. I am a happy man... I just need a few more clients and I am tickety boo.
If I can, you can - I am one disorganised man - but a wiser one than I was a year ago. My book will be available for download from my website in 2-4 weeks.

(just put this in the Quark thread)
thanks for the sound advice....I'm was always interested to read your emails, they always brightened my gray monday morings.
Yep, I'm still in Edinburgh but a lots changeed since you was on here in "the good old days". Started seeing someone, known her since university about 8 or 9 years. Still strange to think I'm seeing a teacher, seems all grown up and a bit kinky :P
I recieved an email from someone called Polly telling me about your party. How was it??...any filth!??
Glad to hear things are stating to work out.....!!

welcome back vinney! Don't worry the first year is the worst after travelling...I have been back nearly two years and it took us the first year to just about get back into it.
The funny thing is things don't change, it's like you haven't been away, but so much has changed in your head it's just...different (same same but different as they say in vietnam!)
The hardest part was trying to think about a career again, I gave all that up and have then struggled to switch it back on.
I think once you have done the work to live thing for a while (with as little work as possible) it's hard to get back to the Live to Work attitude that is expected...
