Found out how to listen to your ipod through your computer. Just stick the ipod into manual mode in the ipod settings. Walla. Great for using your ipod as a hard drive and media player at work.

really? how did you find out?

your kidding right? Man... "JUST" finding that out is a bit slow my brotha'. I use my ipod to transfer files daily, and I have 3 OS's on it (9,Jag,and Panther) that I can boot from. Actually I use it as a hard drive more often than a music player.

nonono... i know you can use it as a harddrive... thats not the point.
The point is when you enable Manual Mode on your iPod you can listen to you songs on your ipod through iTunes. That means not having to store songs on my work computer and it also means I only have 1 set of headphones now... and not 2 ..(1 for computer 1 for ipod)

if you have automatic update enabled, your ipod songs are grayed out and you cant play them
