I am doing a research paper on Kyle Cooper. I am discussing other designers who have recieved influence off his work, particularly "SE7EN." Anyone know of any work that is similar or obviously inspired by any of his?

yuco.com and blind.commotiontheory.com each owner came from imag. forces and worked with kyle cooper. you can see sensibilities and influences in their work yet they all added their own rad touches

Please don't be misled into thinking that Kyle Cooper was the sole force behind IM or anything on that Prologue reel of his. He hand a hand in it, but there were others also involved. Put it this way, it's like a flame artists that color corrects a real cool motion graphics piece and adds it to his reel...

I met him once at a lecture in Glasgow. I was ripping down a lovely massive donnie brasco poster created for the event in the reception afterwards and as I turned round to make off with my prize, he was standing there. He was very cool about it (laughed) and we chatted and then I left him on his way to the now-empty bar to steal the other one-off poster created for the event off the wall in there.

I personally, believe you should change your sublect, and that even though I hold Mr. Cooper in the highest respect, his work definatley does not even come close to his reputation.

it clearly says, "director" on his reel, i don't think anybody expects that he did full-production on those pieces..

A good guy by all accounts, good to work with and really humble apparently, so some friends say.
He is doing some hush hush stuff with apple at the moment, watch for it mid april...

What illroot is saying is that Cooper highered a flame artist. Cooper is just a director. He works just like a Creative Director. He helps concept the ideas and use the right people to get the job done. Also make sure there is a consistant quality in the work.
