- jevad0

- stewart0
holymolony jevad.

- stewart0
okaaay.
maybe you know... is mozzilla wide spread under normal people?
(called mozzilla firebird, isn't it?)

Nav links don't work on Mac / Safari
- stewart0
okay. then i decide now that it is designed for mac/pc ie/ns only...

On PC/IE6/WinXP, I see the white strip on the right. But it looks fine when I use Firefox (Mozilla).
It is kinda creepy seeing the old man stay in the same spot as I scroll down the page, though. But if you're dead-set on having him there, I'd suggest using CSS to put him on the background of the page (so that he's absolutely static).
Nice work otherwise.

thanks dippy
i tried everything to keep that man in the right bottom corner.
i thought this way was the best, because it has to stay in that corner after scroll and after resizing the window.if you have another technique to do this, please tell me...
- dippy0
Another technique: In the <head> of your HTML page, insert this code:
<style type="text/css">
body {
background-image: url(old_man.gif);
background-position: 100% 100%;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-attachment: fixed;
}
<style>Just replace "old_man.gif" with whatever your image is.
- dippy0
That last line of code should read:
background-attachment: fixed;(no space before the "t" in "attachment")
- stewart0
okay.
i'll try that tomorrow, it is now midnight here...
does that script put an image in the right bottom corner, also after scroll and resizing window?
i can't believe that, but we'll see tomorrow.
thanks!!
- atomica0
Yeah, the white margin on the right, which is making a horizontalscroll bar for me, ie6 pc and mozilla firefox. Also, your last line of text is being cut off when i scroll all the way down by the menu..... not so good on the legibility factor there. Otherwise everything is fine.... I also reccomend doing the background idea with the old man.... have the menu still be the footter as it is though....
- chrissie0
i dont get the white margin in mozilla firefox on winxppro.
although the bottom bar jumps when i scroll, but it goes to the right position when i stop.
- stewart0
thanks guys.
i'll try the script you gave, but i tried a similar css thing to keep the image on place, but it corrupted with the bottomlayer script:
every time i scroll up / resize window the image is duplicated half over itself. hard to explain but it wasn't a nice view.

Errr, don't want to be a pain or anything, but it is a site about taking care for old, sick people at home, guiding them during their last months and moments in this life etc... And when I scroll down I get this aged man shaking and desperatly wanting to stay on my screen. It feels a bit... uncomfortabe... weird... I dunno... Maybe it's just me. Forget it...

Sep, you're sooo right.
it is a sketch for a elderly house website.

but i'm going to quit my job here.i want a job in Stockholm. anyone?
