What's the best way to export .psd and .ai to quark. Tif/eps/etc. Can you also tell me which boxes/options to select while exporting.
Also How do you attach fonts that we're used in the quark document.
Thanks. :)
Quark 5 (saving down to 4)
PS 6
AI 9

You cannot 'export' to quark, but you can place .tif, .eps, and more files inside a quark document inside 'picture boxes.' You also cannot 'attach' fonts but you rather have to be savvy enough to be able to collect the fonts you've used in the layout and bundle them with the quark docs that you send out. Perhaps a book might be a worthwhile investment?

naw, I acutally layed out a full book with quark, but I just recieved the files. Usually .tif/.eps. And I wasn't in charge of sending to print.
I'm setting up my portfolio to print at the local kinkos.
So, I just wanted to know what's the best way to export files from .psd and .ai. Be it .eps/.tif and which settings to apply to the export.
Will kinkos let me install fonts I used in the quark doc?
Thanks for any help you guys can give me

.tif - no compression, and .eps, no better.

Why not PDF it? (the power to have embedded fonts) ;)

that's true. I guess I could do that.

You should make tiff from bitmap illustrations and eps from vector illustrations don't use the pdf's when you still need to work with the pdf's in other program's. It can give you big problems because each programmaker uses different Postcriptlevel dialects.
