just finished, i know it runs dog slow on older machines and macs, but i dont know what else i can do to optimize it. i am still learning AS, specifically functions and prototype stuff. all suggestions are welcome!

looks ok...more photoshop bevel than I'd fancy personally. the details need some work however. ie, the type on the nav looks a bit too fuzzy.

I know you mentioned it, but it's sloooow on my machine... Nevermind that I need a new machine (PIII 1 GHz) but I think you can make it faster by trying to vectorize a lot of your assets in Flash... or at least try...

Solid work, dude.
I agree that the type in the menu is fuzzy...first thing I noticed, and really my only beef. It really sticks out because the rest looks so tight and polished.
As for speed, it runs fine on my Athlon 1.8.

I dig it... the animations and transitions look really sharp. Maybe the brushed metal texture is a little too Photoshoppy, but good stuff.

thanks for everyones input. the menu fonts were done like that on purpose, but i think ill change them. as far as the metal/bevel photoshop stuff, the client made me do it :) again, thanks for the input....

From the beginning I'm confused. WTF standard or optimized... to be optimized means trimmed down and easy to load.... standards what everyone in the masses should be viewing correct? I'd fix that terminology. The rest of the site works alright with the content...

the site's clunky...
... can't say I'm a fine of the design either. There are certain typographic details that could be cleaned up... not too mention the usage of the pixel font for the nav - pixel fonts look bad when they're oversized and overly used...
... the metal's a bit photoshoppy as noted above...
... and one last thing - probably has nothing to do with you or your design: Why does every DJ have to appear like they're some hardcore 'I'm a deep-thinker who screws your mom and could kick your ass' in their photos. this guy looks like he thinks he a badass...
... he spins vinyl disks and mixes music... you're SO HARDCORE.
... sorry, that crap just makes me laugh. Maybe he's a humble nice guy in real life - but if that's the case... there's no need for a photo gallery of yourself.
Maybe it's a photogallery of people at his show... but him? PLEASE.
