What's up guys? I am getting a little worried, I am graduating from college soon with a degree in graphic design, focusing on motion graphics. I have a good portfolio (atleast I think so), anyways, what is the best way to get my foot in the door at some of the companies I want to work at. Intern for free and work my butt off and hope it turns into something or Start interning and expect to get paid? Apply as a junior designer? Or just straight up apply as a full fledged official designer? Any advice?

i dont think anyone straight out of college knows exactly what the hell is going on at a design firm to be a mid level designer yet. unless you work for a crappy design firm, that position requires a lot of responsibility including working with jr designers to help you with your work load. i dont think many design firms would do that unless youre super hot shit.
if youre doing motion graphics (i dont know much about that) i would assume youd be working for big studios like disney and fox etc... straight out of school could you handle that? i work at 65 media. i thought i knew .. but i realise now theres so much to be learned. ive been working now for 3 and a half years.
you might have to do your 6 months at least as a jr so you can get the hang of the industry for real.
