Sometimes it's best for things to die - The Face has probably lived too long already ... been a shell ever since Brody left for Arena really. But nothing like it 20 years ago. Like WIRED ten years ago, now a sad husk of its former self.

To be honest the past year of the face has been so dull materialistic blandness that i say its better to die. All they do is steal ideas from better magazines.
Hell look at how rubbish Sleaze is. That shouldve dies years ago.

The funny thing is that Jason Donovan (from Australian soap Neighbours) is heading a consortium that may buy the Mag. He sued The Face in the early nineties for saying he was gay.

I liked the Face under Graheme Rounthwaite's (is that how you spell it?) Art Direction. They help promote a lot of excellent illustration work. I'd be sad to see it go but it doesn suck at the moment. Maybe an independant publisher would do it some good.

Tarquin: 'word'– that really fucking annoys me when these type of mags do that shit. I saw one in a mag recently that was a fashion what's hot and not and what was 'not' will be back cool in a month and vice versa. (they all looked equally fucking weird anyway) They're just trying to get a march on things, and looking lame.
