I think your vector work shows that you can obviously draw traditionally. If the piece you want to put up is something you find interesting go for it but if you just want to demonstrate that you posses that skill, I don't think it's necessary...

Funny you should ask. I'm working on a realistic rendering now. Freetime is hard to come by, though, so I'm not sure when it will be done. I estimate another ten hours worth of work. I'll keep you posted, though.
Thanks for your thoughts.

Yes, it will give you more ground to stand on, for those who don't understand or embrace the talent of vector illustration.

I agree, you should post the stuff you feel is your best work.
On the other hand, it all depends on who you are wanting to look at your site. What i mean is if your site is just your fun space to show the world, then yeah, go for it, illustration is illustration no matter what format. If your site is more of a portfolio for future employers to look at it may not be the best idea. On that same employer note though, it might be a good idea to include them so that you let them get a feel for all of your artistic ability and overall creativity.
i guess this wasnt really a direct answer, but just some things to think about.

obsutely.
especially if it pertains to the process.

I think you should, and possibly even show initial sketches/concepts of digital illustrations.
