if it kills a fertilized egg... then it's the same thing as abortion...
... if it stops the sperm before it gets to the egg... then it's a conscience decision.

abizzyman:
read the link on the begining of the thread.
It does not kill. If you were already pregnant it would not work. it only stops ovulation so you cant get pregnant
i meant: is it the same on the concience as an abortion- looks like most people agree it is not the same- it is about the same as birth control pills

i don't think the morning after pill kills a fertilized egg or stops sperm from getting to the egg.
am i wrong?

as obvious as it is to point out, the debate is always going to come down to the question of what constitutes life.
is masturbation any different than abortion? after all sperm is "alive" in some sense.
all i know is that if you're anti-abortion, you best be vegitarian.

is masturbation any different than abortion?
sperm die in your testicles... or are emitted through wet-dreams... it's natural that sperm die when 'unused'...
... but an egg that's been fertalized by sperm is ALIVE. It's got no where else to go but to become a human. Yes, miscarriages occur... but what gives us the right to destroy that life now that it's going to become a human?
We have no right.

yadda yadda yadda ...

The Morning After Pill is literally a highly concentrated birth control pill. It doesn't terminate a pregnancy, it prevents ovulation.
It's a deadbolt lock for sperm that are pounding down the door.
So, let's rephrase the question: Are birth control pills abortion?
- lnu0
1. Birth control pills are not abortion.
2. The mornig after pill should not be regarded as birth control. If you need to take a morning after pill - you should have thought of birth control a long time ago.
- justarobot0
I agree, but chemically they're the same thing.

my view:
if you call "the morning after pill" another form of abortion you could also say that using a rubber is another form of abortion or spilling milk when boxing the bald cyclops..
goes a bit far, eh?
