A follow-up question to my previous "laptops vs desktops" broadcast. What screen resolution do you prefer on a laptop? (please answer only if you actually do design work on a laptop)

I'm at 1400x1050

im on a 12,1 inch screen and working in 1024x780 - which is just bareable. Thats the sacrifice i made for extrem portability

I prefer around 12000x14000 on a flexible roll-up screen.
I have 1280x854 (15") ... bummer.

how hard is it to do design work on a 12 in laptop?.... thoughts pls.
i will b getting an apple laptop soon, and im just a student so i was thinkin of geting a 12 in powerbook... will that be ok to do design work, or too small?

1280 X 854 on 15inch powebook. I think it's a decent res for designing.

I'm on 1400 x 1050 then dual monitor with a dell 17" flatscreen tft at 1280x1024. I find i can't cope with just one screen!!
Possibly because i'm spoilt with three 1600x1200 monitors at work.
