Really like the grass image used behind the footer - but with the shadow behind the white text, it's a bit hard to read.
Maybe bold the text? Or maybe use a dark color for the font, with no shadow?

if its street cricket, why is there grass?
or does "street" mean "pick-up"

I would suggest getting rid of the drop shadows, find a color for the bars that works well over the grass. Then I would get rid of the down-gradient over the grass, just let the photo of the grass show itself completely, bring the line below "Home - News" all the way to the right, no gradient, and bring the photo of the grass all the way down to there. And no drop shadows behind the type, if you want to show hierarchy of information, use boldness of size of type, not drop shadows. Very cool looking though. And why must people come right off and say he's got to show a finished site? Isn't this what the community is all about? Sharing work, opinions and ideas? I say keep it up ethios, I like your personal site too.

Rethink the Myriad? The main font, has balance issues if its not snug black on white.
grass is nice, think to transp the green and leave some of the grass image poking thru
