I'm lucky enough to be a proud father of a G4 Desktop and a 12" G4 Powerbook. It'd be very hard for me to put one over the other.

they got a Powerbook G4 17" model at my work when it came out and I gotta say that it's just as good as most of the desktops in the office, except for the Dual G4. sure it's expensive but it's well worth it since you get so much functionality out of it and it's totally portable. Weighs the same as a 14" iBook (which is thicker, go figure)

first laptop at workplace, was not the best one, but still loved it. Now i've got a Fujitsu-Siemens 2Ghz etc., i love laptops, it's lifestyle. Freedom of working hours and places. For webdesign and smaller dtp the 15.4" screen is more than enough and can attach when needed to a 21" monitor. Two screens simoultaneously :) tools on lap screen and graphics on the other. No mouse needed and can just put it on the bookshelf when i need some empty space. Never ever a desktop again :)
sorry for having opened a new topic, i'm a newbee...
