$1500 for 2-4 weeks I say Costa Rica. You can live like a king down there for that amount of money and everyone is super friendly, and the monkeys aren't too bad either.

yeah... i definitely recommend costa rica as well... santa theresa.
you'll love it - the closest place to perfect i have ever been - especiallly if you like to surf.senegal is sweet too ... but definitely a bigger adventure.
