anyone use sony MDR-V700DJ with an ipod? i am thinking about getting some, but i had the previous version and it had like 5 feet of cable... i can not imagine what i would do with all that, expecially with the remote extension already on ipod

I have those and use them with my iPod, home stereo, decks... sound awesome.
If you have a problem with the cord length - go to Radio Shaq and buy a new mini stereo jack, cut the cable to length and solder in the new jack. No problem. Or take it to an electropnis shop - they'd do it in about 5 minutes.

The mayority of people with an Ipod only use the lame ass earplugs that comes with it, just so everyone think they are cool..

i got those headphones and they are sweet, however I only use it to DJ, not walking around with. I like to be more discreet and use an in the ear style headphone...cost less, shorter cable, less cumbersome, easy to tuck in pocket.

har har har...
i mean the sound coming out of the headphones actually feels like its inside your head, rather then from headphones. it hard to explain. i have read other complaints about it on ipodlounge.

they also work like a stethecope, so if i have them in i can hear myself brathing, or if something hits the cord, i can hear it.

hehe, just kiddin Idww. I actually have the black version of the headphones, and I know what you mean. To me it's actually cool, cuz it's the only "plug" type headphones I have used that can produce the effect of low frequencies. So i think if your listening to D&B it's great but Chopin might sound kinda funny.
