favicon issue

my favicon appears when I type in http://mydomain.com but not when I use the full http://www.mydomain.com
Why does it work without the www and not with? Any ideas?

I also have problems with that.
http://www.shikakufx.comYou can see a white square but it should be red with the logo in it?
What software didi you use to make it? bmp from photoshop and then I used Icon Maker on a pc, cause I couldnt find anyhing for osx to export it to ICO format.
I already gave up on this but seeing you have problems too made me want to figure this out :)

GraphicConverter on OS X can export a bmp as an ico file, but I tried to put a Favicon on my site too and it doesn't work

No luck either, so I went to a pc, downloaded Iconmaker from twocows, and now if you see my site, there is a white square, I know im very close to make it, but its not done yet!
Anybody know why is that?

i made my icon as a gif and renamed it .ico. and put in my root directory and also in my html directory. worked ok for me.

where in your root directory did you put it? that might be my issue, I only have it in my html directory

i use transmit as a ftp client.
when i log on, the first thing i see is this
then i click on the www to get to the main directory

i dont think it matters because your icon is working. might be where you put it. did you see the ftp pics i posted?

dude, sorry i dont know what to say, i was prolly drunk when i did mine :P
that's why i cant remember.
and i think i may have renamed my graphic from a bmp not a gif. shit i cant remember

I did it!!!
instead of saving it as GIF I saved it as BMP (16 colors) and then change it to ICO

safari always sees them. and opera.
