indesign linking

is there a way to re-use the same link after it's been linked. The file is too big to embed/copy paste. I'm doing a catalogue and I have about 150 instances of the same link. It has to be modified at every instance so I can't keep it untouched in the Master page.
Any ideas?

there should be an option to insert a footer or header, maybe make something with that option.

you mean script that as an option? Is that possible? I don't really know that much about scripting in Indesign. (read: not a fucking thing, when I say "know that much.")

no I am East Coast. I mean you could just insert a link on all the pages if need be. InDesign should have that option of INSERT->whatevaBSlink on all the pages as either a footer or a header if you have, have to do it. :)
