K, my Mail.app on OS 10.2.6 just ate shit.
I need to trash it.
Where can I download a new version if I do? Is there some other alternative?

This may help. Once I hosed a preference pane in my system and thought that my only option was to start over and reinstall my system. Enter Pacifist. It just saved me a lot of time.
Pacifist 1.6 is a shareware application that opens Mac OS X .pkg package files and allows you to extract individual files and folders out of them.
This is useful, for instance, if an application which is installed by the operating system becomes damaged and needs to be reinstalled without the hassle of reinstalling all of Mac OS X. Pacifist is also able to verify existing installations and find missing or altered files*, and also has the ability to optimize your system's performance by updating prebinding information on your hard disk.

i prefer mail.app. but entourage is sweet with the keyboard shorcuts where as mail.app has funky key combos

mail's cool and all but i get so sick of having to type my password in for all my accounts. plus i always have to pick a different smtp in order to send message. didn't think having 3 different accounts in Mail would funk it up that much.

auricom, I have 3 different accounts too, and never have a problem. If you are using the same internet provider, the smtp should be the same for all your accounts. As for the passwords, check your setting in the preferences.
