Right I am running Panther on my G4 PowerBook and I have partitioned the drive.
Now I really want to install Os9 on the partition so I can boot from it to run some really basic audio software i use for triggering samples for my band.
However try as I might I can't get os9 to install on that drive. It refuses to let me use the installers. I am in an office full of Macs at the moment and i have a Firewiredrive I can use too.
Does anyone have any tips?
Thanks in Advance.

newer powerbooks will not boot from os9, you will have to use classic mode.

don't you have to install os9 before you install osX? i don't think it lets you do it the other way round.

Not sure if it's the same with Panther but on older OSX versions it asked if you wanted to install OS9 Drivers to the disk when you reformat or partition it. Without them you can't install OS9.
