i've smoked on and off for the last 3 years, and I know it's hard to go without them. try getting those menthol tubes that you get from the drug store. they look like tampons but apparently you just puff 'em like they're a cigarette. i know that the hardest part to replace about smoking is the fact that you don't have anything between your fingers to hold, flick, or puff on. the feeling of having a lung full of brown butter is something i won't miss.

ever seen the inside of a smoker's lung? that'll scare you straight. find a way to sit in during a dissection and you'll see how gross it really is. the smoker's lung seriously smells like rotting garbage once you cut it open.

hmm, mentholated tampons. there's an idea. i have never seen those before.

There is a book:
Allen Carr
Easy Way to quit smoking
worked for me for a while, it mentally prepares you, kind of like hypnosis

my girl is a med student so i've seen the facts. i've been at it for 13 years, so it's pretty stressful.

hah they only look like tampons. actually they're just plastic tubes with a nicotine substitute, much like Nicorette chewing gum, but you puff it so that you actually feel like you're smoking. i believe some of them come in menthol.

hi there
i smoked for nearly 15 years, and i tried everything... prescriptions, the patch, the gum... you name it.
then i saw this cheesy infomercial for "smoke away" http://www.smokeawayonline.com/ - its kind of pricey, and "all natural" - but very much worth it...
i started to take it, and from the moment i took the first pill, i immediately stopped craving cigarettes!!! it was weird, because i didnt even think it was going to work, but i really had no desire to smoke any more.
keep in mind, i was smoking a little over a pack a day when i quit! i highly suggest you try this one out!!
good luck...

i only smoked a very short time. i think that the key to stop is to REALLY (this is not some clichè shit) make yourself clear that it is abolute nonsense..
http://total_ bullshitthat book might be a good motivator, but once you understood that you're really getting fooled, and paying quite a lot of money for ruining your health..that should be enough.

Mind over matter, mind over matter.
Just tell yourself that each drag is basically suicide, and you'll have every reason to stay alive.

at least i smoke much less then i did in the past..

Live damnit, LIVE!
Quitting with my wife and our best friends helped a lot. It's kind of like, "I'm not going to be the one to let all these people down."Also, the thought of being a my wife's side on her death bed for something I could have prevented... nay, something I encouraged, was dreadful. And I mean, 24 hours a day of dread.

man, giving up is easy!
I've done it loads of times :)

I think death is a little underrated sometimes.
I mean, it's the end of your life!
THE END!

lol raspo.
I'm on my 4th day here. not having fun ata all
It's hard to get any work done. I can't seem to focus very well. And like 4cY said in a different thread - my spelling has gotten horrible. It's like an instant dyslexia.
weird.
good luck.

I"ve never smoked one. Put an unlit one in my mouth once to see how cool I might look if I did smoke, and I wasn't impressed.
