well im not going to be buying collectors items...
i was just talking about well made, middle of the road, furniture.. definitely stylish.. just not designer shit probably

buying furniture is an investment to be honest, that might sound crazy, but good stuff is good stuff.
go for the contemporary classics or save up for them. otherwise do the IKEA thing and just average till you have decent money again

the main thing is go with something you like and enjoy looking at, classic or not.

you're absolutely right. my parents always told me to just wait until i could afford something good, and then buy it, because once i have it, i'll have it for life.
my dilemma is a tad different, as i can afford the stuff now, but probably won't be able to justify it in a few years... especially if im hopping around the EU.. living in boxes.. going to school.. etc

(Apr 29 05, 15:10)agreed... which is why i like the idea of buying used stuff and then wrapping it in something i've made... that would be rad.

yep, then you're right, just chill and wait and then you'll have the taste, place and cash for fine stuff later. Not that you always have to pay top dollar for good stuff. Know what I mean, same can be said about good gear.
you don't want to live in a dump or semi-decent place and then have great furny around you, that'd be silly I guess. I'm just tired, so I slowed down.
designerror is stuck on an island ;)
