I think you would be a very good teacher. You're so supportive of other people developing their styles and are knowledgeable with various media. You'd be an inspiration.

My girlfriends a teacher and she loves her job, but just be prepared for the cheeky twats that don't want to learn. Good luck....

my girlfriend is doing her (unpaid) internship to be an art teacher right now and is going through hell. She loves the kids, but has a hard time dealing with school bureaucracy and fighting for resources. There's a ton of psychology involved and you really have to watch how you deal with the troublemakers.
But it would be great to have an art teacher with actual business experience to teach them about 'applied' commercial art and design, not just how to make folded paper dioramas.

Your drawings are really very good. What's wrong with being an illustrator? Good luck to you regardless.

thanks raulito!
Making money as an illustrator ain't easy.
drawings aren't worth alot these days.
I don't want to work at some agency making work I don't believe in( fake communication)its all about money and clients, doesn't matter how much integrity u have.
also I want to make a mark in society, doing something for the people etc.

Hope it works out for you. Good luck,

crap, I would think that your students would be easier to handle, depending upon age than what I did in Africa, which was like a warzone. Respect them and they will respect you, etc. I think a lot of the time teachers become too high and mighty for their own good and they push they own thoughts and agenda when they should concentrate on the needs of their students. Anyway that's my two cents. :)

I have friends who are teachers. I'd pass on anything below college level positions.

14 year olds are ok to work with, especially in EU lands. They are much more mature than Americans.

i once gave courses for youngsters to learn the internet and basic html+wysiwyg editors..
and i really felt like you can influence pupils in a positive way.they were mostly from a lower social level and i really felt like you could (as a teacher) give them some positive perspectives on life..
not in a "dangerous minds" kind of way, more in a "dead poets society" kind of way..
just show them some beauty..do it, crap..!
